Changes In The Air

Yesterday, when asking the Lord for understanding, the Lord explained to me that what I have been sensing during this time is what He called “changes in the air.” Then He began to explain to me certain related topics and urged me to share some of them so we all can better cope with the season before us. Upon further contemplation, here are the key points I feel led to relay:
1. “Do not put the new wine into an old wineskin”.
Most of the time, changes in God and in life can be gradual. They don’t involve mutation or transformation concerning the nature of a matter or situation; but this is not always the case. There are times changes can be fundamental and essential.
For example: liquid water turns into ice or vapor. The change is quite visible and dramatic; but it is not that fundamental comparing to when it is transformed into H2 and Oxygen. Now after such a change of its essence, each substance produced would take on its own nature and life: H2 can be infused to generate a great amount of power; Oxygen when lit with others mediums will burst into a great fire. And that is only concerning the kind of energy or “power” that can be expected from such changes. There are many other new characters or usages the new substances can take on, but none of them can be expected when still retained merely as a compound of water.
2. Don’t embrace changes with a fearful heart.
With God, “all things are possible.” His works are not confined to our expectations of good works, miracles, signs and wonders, esp. not along our own traditions or ways when they become a “norm” or a “rigid” life style. Yet above all things, it is about the “revelations”, the “testimonies”, or the “glorification” of Christ Jesus thru His Bride or His Church.
Eph. 3
8To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, 9and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; 10so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. 11This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.
If new things or changes are not measured up to this standard and end, we are free to discard or reject them; but if they are, as much as it would take a process for them to become substantial or convincing, those who are to be “forerunners” or “leaders” of such changes will need to be ever encouraged and fortified with His sure calling and purpose, and learn not to take matter into our own hand. Remain vigilant in engaging and obeying into the ways and steps He will unfold before us. Pray that we have “the spirit of Caleb” in heart and in action.
There will be new things with which we are not yet full prepared for or familiar with. For us, to have an obedient heart is important, but a child-like faith (joyful and inquisitive) is always a greater delight in the Father’s eyes.
Be like wind and water. They don’t pre-mediate their paths. But they always flow from high to low, pre-determine of a law of nature.
3. Expect and be prepared to overcome giants in the land.
It can be a great mistake to think everything God will releases to us will be readily delivered unto our laps. In this season, shallow faith in God will rob many of the kind of forcefulness and determination, high discipline and fortitude required when we are released to follow Him to possess the “new land”. We have to “chase out the giants in the land,” with His Guidance and Grace.
Learn the lesson from Lot’s wife when running away from Sodom and Gomorrah and the two and half tribes when crossing over Jordan. One is applicable concerning the “doors that are shut behind of us”; the other “the doors that are open before us.”
There is also a great lesson with the story of the wise and foolish virgins. Let us be mindful of it in this particular season.
4. Make sure to walk in our given divine kingdom order and spiritual alignment.
The Lord will severely expose and deal with “the spirit” and “the works” of lawlessness in the midst of His People. Be aware of His “consuming fire”. Come to Him with a heart of obedience and meekness, so He can cover us in His grace and His wisdom. Be not wise in our own eyes, rather endeavor to wait and move on His commands. This can only be done when we are “truly hearing” Him as the “God of the living (His present, living work), not the dead (His past work, the traditions and presumptions of man).”
5. Break away from the spiritual of independence and learn to live and work with others with a spirit of love and unity.
I am extremely encouraged with what God is doing in this time. Even many of us are undergoing tremendous trials and tribulations, I believe, the Lord will build us upon His Rock and “enlarge our tents” thru all of them. Let us pray so.
May the Lord bless you and keep you with His goodness and grace! Amen.
