David – Prophet, Witness and Shepherd King
David is a prophetic type of Christ Jesus. In the OT and the NT, he was presented as a prophet for the Christ, a witness of God’s plan (the word of God) and a righteous ruler or good shepherd king, foreshadowing the King of Kings.
