David’s Life – From Saul’s Court to Exile
During the meeting, we briefly reviewed two contexts of our teachings:
- The ministry of the Order of Melchidezek as a governmental entrustment to the Church of Jesus Christ.
- The historical and cultural background of David’s life.
We then begin to expound, as a continuation of his early life, David’s life when he was in Saul’s royal court. And at turning of his fate from enjoying Saul’s favor to the deterioration of their relationship.
Eventually, David was cast out Saul’s kingdom and began his life as a fugitive in exile.
By visiting this thread of David’s life, with the allusion of few Davidic Psalms of this period, we are trying to illustrate how God raise him up into a man of royalty and wisdom, as mentioned in Psm. 78:72:
“And David shepherded them with integrity of heart;
with skillful hands he led them.”
May the Lord bless us with the same education and the results thereof by the power of His Spirit.
