April 13- 11:30 pm
The other night, I was praying and asking the Lord to give me some perspective on what He is doing. I immediately began to have this vision.
I see a bunch of marionettes on a stage. They are all being manipulated by strings from above. The activities I see them doing are things such as juggling balls, one playing soccer alone, another sleeping and the last one is building legos.
I’m able to follow the strings up to a curtain. Behind this curtain, a pair of hands holding the strings. These hands look reptilian and have very long claws.
From the top left, a sword cuts through the curtain and then slices all the strings that are controlling the marionettes. The puppets fall to the ground and lay motionless. The wind once again blows and the clothes, hair and paint come off the puppets until all that is left is a huge pile of wooden bones.
A third gust of wind begins to swirl around. This wind forms into the shape of a hand. This hand picks up the pile of wooden bones and begins to carve and build with them. The finished product is some kind of large building. It looks a little similar to a cathedral, but it is fashioned completely out of wood.
The inside of this building is very open and reminds me of an arena. It almost looks like a functioning city inside, although there are no houses. All the people are busy with specific tasks. In particular, I see a blacksmith with an open shop. He is making various weapons. I see people working in fields of plants. In another area, several people are practicing fighting with each other using various weapons. There is a huge communal kitchen where people gather to cook and eat together over an open fire. In another area, a group of students are laying on some grass, reading books. There are also delivery trucks who drop off fresh water and clean up any trash or messes made.
All the sudden, a warning alarm goes off. All of the the people immediately drop what they are doing and fall on their knees. As they do this, a staircase is illuminated that had been hidden along the inside wall of the cathedral. The people begin to file up these stairs that lead to the very top of the building. (This required both prayer and action, faith and obedience.) The top part of the cathedral reminds me a bit of being inside the Texas State Capitol building where you used to be able to climb to a small room at the top where the flame is.
As the people climb these steep stairs, water begins to pour into the building and flood it quickly. As the water continues to rise, all of the possessions of the people are carried out through the doors and windows. There are only two categories of things left in the water…food and weapons. These things continue to swirl around in the water as it rises. The water continues to rise until it reaches the feet of the people. As the water stops at their feet, they are easily able to reach the food and weapons that are floating.
They grab the food and eat together. At the end of the meal, a man grabs a sword from the water and slices through the top of the building. It cuts like a piece of paper into another realm. Seeing the opening, another man grabs some kind of ball with spikes at the end of it. This ball is attached to a rope or chain. He swings this ball up out of the building through this slice in space. The spike ball lands on the ground of the new realm. The spikes stick in the ground like an anchor and the people begin to climb up the rope into this new place.
The first to crawl up immediately notices a gigantic dragon and warns the others below. They do not shriek back, but rather this news propels them to move more quickly to join their brother. As the last person is climbing up the rope, a huge earthquake erupts below and the entire cathedral is swallowed up. I can see the cathedral crumble below and disappear into the flooding water.
The view now switches to the upper realm and I see the sequence of the people climbing up the rope, and then landing in the new realm. As each person comes up, they stack on top of each other. They continue this formation until their unified bodies create one single giant.
At this time, the sword (that cut through the marionette strings at the beginning) is placed into the hands of this giant.
I then look at the dragon. The look on his face was one of both defeat and rage. Like a child throwing a tantrum, he begins to swing his tail, stomp his feet and breathe fire on the giant. These tantrums are felt in the realm below, which is now visible from the slicing with the sword between the two realms. The giant is unfazed by these fits of rage and attacks the dragon, slicing his head off.
Thoughts
Marionettes are very much of symbol of the religious system that controls our world today. We are puppets in an alternate reality, controlled by the enemy. We have allowed the enemy to govern our daily lives and are controlled by things that don’t matter at all. The culture that is produced is one of chaos. Every man is doing his own activities, but none of them are connected. The result is that we are unfulfilled and lonely. We are literal puppets in the hand of the enemy, whose goal is to steal, kill and destroy. That is exactly what he is doing.
The Lord will not be mocked for much longer. Soon, God almighty is going to expose the enemy and bring back order to this kingdom. As people realize the massive deception, they are able to be cut loose from the control of the enemy. This is shown as the puppets fall to the ground. They are immobilized until the marks of the enemy are removed. The Holy Spirit (wind) must blow and expose all things are are not useful for His purposes. This is the sanctification process.
See John 17
“ Without patience, working wood is an exercise in frustration, leading to temptation through anger which, if yielded to, becomes sin. When tooling any species of wood, the wood’s characteristics govern the success of the project. A carpenter must study the tightness of grain in a board, the hardness of the piece, how wet it is, the location of any knots, and the color patterns to ascertain the best way to cut, chisel, or plane it. An open grain wood such as oak characteristically chips and splinters easily, but other woods such as walnut and mahogany can vary in their grain patterns significantly from board to board.”
The puppet was never meant to be a puppet, but a carve-able piece of wood, fashioned together for a greater good. The bones laying in a pile may seem useless, but once the falling off of the old self has occurred, He calls these dry bones to life.
11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off! 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 | will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.'”
Ezekiel 37:11-14
He calls His people to build a new house. It’s not one constructed like a typical building. No, this one is carved by the Carpenter Himself. He has built a living and continuing house that we can benefit from and become a part of.
For more context, read Ephesians 2.
Inside this cathedral is a training ground, of sorts. I think the activities taking place speak to the nature of discipleship. This leads to a much different culture than was displayed with the marionettes. All of the jobs are for the greater good of the community. There is order, love and an undeniable peace.
As the people go about their daily tasks, an alarm is sounded. I think there is significance in the way the people react to the sound of the alarm. No one scurried about (chaos), but instead hit their knees in a humble position to seek answers. This heart posture was honored and provisions were made with the staircase. (Notice the warning came before the disaster.)
The flood and earthquake still take place, but provisions are made even in the flood. What the Lord promises will always be ours when we abide in Him. The food made available signifies His bread of life. And weapons signifying the power of His Truth that provides us the weapons needed to fight the enemy.
-See John 6
Next in the vision, we see the Sword of the Spirit being used again. This time, it cuts into the heavenly realm where the enemy lies in wait. Then, another man picks up a weapon and uses it to enter into the upper realm. In quick research, I was able to find the weapon used by this man. It was a Morning Star, which I find significant for many reasons.
“The Morningstar flail was swung around to gain momentum to striking the target. Highly dangerous, were it not for the Knight’s armor, it may have been too dangerous for him to wield, as the unpredictable nature of chained weapons meant there is a chance of accidentally striking oneself.”
This weapon can only be used by one equipped with the “armor of God”, otherwise it is far too dangerous. This person was able to pave the way for the rest of the people. As the people climb up and enter into this realm, they are no longer separate beings, but joined together to form a giant.
Only this unified giant is capable of wielding the sword that cuts off the head of the dragon.
