I took a nap near the end of the morning today. The Lord gave me this dream…
I was a young prince sitting at the right hand of my father, the King, who was sitting at the inner end of a long table. My place was in between the two ends of the table. Obviously, it was a table for discussion of war plans. It was located in the middle of a large tent. The table itself was so large, it almost filled half of the room inside the tent. Outside of the tent, there was a war going on…
I forget much of the details, but obviously I was put in a position to be in charge of the war, or to explain the war plan as my father was overseeing it. There were two old generals sitting with us. One was sitting on the right hand chair to the other end of the table, which was close to the opening. He remained quiet. The other general was old, sitting or standing at my right hand (left hand to the end of the table, opposite of the quiet general). However, this old general began to bully and demean me in front of my father. What he did could be described as “mockery.” The quiet general, though obviously siding with the old general in his opinion of me, refrained from saying one word against me out of respect for my father the King.
My father didn’t say a word either. He just watched. As I was humiliated again and again, the whole thing became very inappropriate. I began to ask for wisdom to end the foolishness of this unreasonable person. I got a parable. So I rose up, a bit agitated. I silenced the old general and began to share the parable with him. It struck him as a heavy blow. His countenance quickly changed. Fear and dread seized him. He recognized his foolishness and impropriety. He was terrified with the consequences or something. Now, he tried to please me, which was inappropriate as well.
I however, seemed to be in a hurry, and did not have much time for this kind of thing. I began to leave my chair and go out onto the battlefield through an opening. The two generals rushed to follow me. So, I headed for another outlet of the tent, across the open area behind my seat. It seemed to be the formal opening of the tent. As I walked out, I came to the knowledge that the reason my father did not intervene was to establish me among his officers.
When I woke, I knew something would rise up against me. I tried very hard to recall a trace of parable I shared, which might prove be a great help for me, but I couldn’t. The Lord then told me that He has sealed it. How interesting!
