These days, unlike at the beginning of my walk with the Lord, I seldom see visions in a vivid way. And for that matter, my memory of dreams is usually scattered and vague, making it very hard for me to recollect. Seldom and vague as they are, due to the many confirmations that they often confer or the spiritual truths they sometimes illuminate, I begin to develop and enjoy a certain confidence in discerning which is which, soul or spirit, for this purpose or that, in this realm or that, etc.
Hopefully, this explains my understanding of the spiritual nature and relevance of my fellowing visions.
The Sword
While addressing the nature and the operation of the Spirit of Python, I began to have some insights about its operation in the land of Africa. I saw the whole course of the river of Nile morphed into a huge serpent. I began to understand a bit why the ancient Egyptians worshiped the serpent. While still asking the Lord which is its head (Mount Kenya) and which is its tail (Nile Delta), I saw an inner vision.
I saw an ugly and vicious dark giant serpent moved swiftly with its mouth open, trying to devour someone standing in the front of me-presumably my spiritual man. At the moment it was ready to devour, the person made a swift move to its left side, or to the right from my angel of the vision. He produced a very sharp sword, with the size of his body length, which is about the size of the head of the serpent. To my amazement, with one determined sway, he effectively severed the head of the serpent off. Then with great composure, as if he has done this many times before, the man withdrew a bit and began to examine the messy scene. The head of the serpent was totally separated, but its body was going through the aftershock. He kept himself in the distance so that blood and movement would not trouble him.
Upon my further reflection, I detected that this serpent is the entity that rules the heartland of Africa. In the beginning, I thought this is a bit strange when considering and are still in the middle of the “practical” matters that we have to deal with at hand. Then I was reminded of another experience I had.
Many years ago, through some unconventional people and occasions, I was put in a place to pray over the nation of New Zealand. Prior to my engaging with it, during prayer time, I saw in my mind “the strong man” over that nation in the form of a vicious and giant serpent. The people I associated there also began to tell me strange things. One actually had seen this evil thing in body form when wandering in the wilderness. Their young son, about 15 years old at the time, defiant to his parents and to the Lord, but was changed due to an impactful vision. In the vision, he saw a serpent broke out from the floor of their house and began to work havoc in it. But he managed to escape and went outside on the porch. There he saw the Sun coming directly down to strike on the house, with the sole purpose to destroy the serpent. Yet the young man’s mind was in total peace, knowing the Sun is coming for his rescue. It comes to only destroy the serpent and will not harm him.
I took it as a hint to pray against such an evil force when praying with them. During my prayer, I saw that God will shake their nation. Actually I saw a major city between the two islands that would have an earthquake. They were excited to tell the geography and the spiritual meaning of the city which they identified as Wellington. A few days, news broke out that a major city was shaken. The city is Christchurch. They surely were excited to share with me the details. The aftermath has been heart-breaking, the couple, spiritually gifted and good-hearted people, each fell into the sin of spiritual pride and lawlessness and shipwrecked their faith. It is a great training experience for me to know how vicious and destructive the Evil One can be.
The Rod
Indeed, as Brother Tim shared soberly this morning, we need to be aware of what we are dealing with when wrestling with regional or territorial princelings as heavenly entities. (Eph. 6)
While praying for the land that we are managing and for the revelation of God’s purpose in the midst of things. I saw another inner vision.
I saw the massive land in the heart of Africa, then my view zoom in the parcel of land that we are given. At that moment, I took notice of the fountainhead in the center of the land. As I began to ascertain the position of the spring, suddenly, a huge black rod or staff of iron came down from heaven and stuck on the fountainhead. Shock waves began to ripple out to the whole land of Africa.
I asked the Lord in my heart. What is this? Then my eyes began to detect the outline of the whole continent of Africa. It is basically a giant rock. And the blow of the rod will release the gushing of a great spring, like that of Zion and Gihon (1 King 1:44-48). This will cleanse the land from the curse of bloodshed and witchcraft or divination. (Zech. 9:9-17; 13:1-9; Isa. 2-6)
1 Cor. 10
1For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3They all ate the same spiritual food 4and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 5Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
6Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 7Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.” 8We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9We should not test Christ, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
11These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. 12So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 13No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Mal. 4
1“Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. 2But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. 3Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the Lord Almighty.
4“Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
5“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. 6He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”Psm. 2
9You will break them with a rod of iron;
you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
10Therefore, you kings, be wise;
be warned, you rulers of the earth.
11Serve the Lordwith fear
and celebrate his rule with trembling.
12Kiss his son, or he will be angry
and your way will lead to your destruction,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.Rev. 12
1A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. 5She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.” And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days. 7Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. 10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
12Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”Additional scriptures to confirm the connection of Nile and a Serpent-like spirit (08.01.2023) :
“Awake, awake, arm of the Lord, clothe yourself with strength!
Awake, as in days gone by, as in generations of old.
Was it not you who cut Rahab to pieces,
who pierced that monster through?
Was it not you who dried up the sea,
the waters of the great deep,
who made a road in the depths of the sea so that the redeemed might cross over?
Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.”
Isaiah 51:9-11 NIV
“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against all Egypt. Speak to him and say:
‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “ ‘I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, you great monster lying among your streams. You say, “The Nile belongs to me; I made it for myself.”
But I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your streams stick to your scales. I will pull you out from among your streams, with all the fish sticking to your scales. I will leave you in the desert, you and all the fish of your streams. You will fall on the open field and not be gathered or picked up. I will give you as food to the beasts of the earth and the birds of the sky. Then all who live in Egypt will know that I am the Lord. “
‘You have been a staff of reed for the people of Israel. When they grasped you with their hands, you splintered and you tore open their shoulders; when they leaned on you, you broke and their backs were wrenched. “
‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will bring a sword against you and kill both man and beast. Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am the Lord. “
‘Because you said, “The Nile is mine; I made it,” therefore I am against you and against your streams, and I will make the land of Egypt a ruin and a desolate waste from Migdol to Aswan, as far as the border of Cush. The foot of neither man nor beast will pass through it; no one will live there for forty years.
I will make the land of Egypt desolate among devastated lands, and her cities will lie desolate forty years among ruined cities. And I will disperse the Egyptians among the nations and scatter them through the countries. “
‘Yet this is what the Sovereign Lord says: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations where they were scattered. I will bring them back from captivity and return them to Upper Egypt, the land of their ancestry. There they will be a lowly kingdom. It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations. I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations.
Egypt will no longer be a source of confidence for the people of Israel but will be a reminder of their sin in turning to her for help. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.’ ”
