Judgement Within God’s House – Part 1
Imanuel Sun begins a multi-part series talking about the judgement at hand in God’s house. This season is a season of the altar. God is dealing with the spirits of Esau and Ishmael. Esau represents man’s strength apart from God. Ishmael represents the mindset of a slave- the orphan spirit as opposed to a son.
Today in the church, intellectualism has replaced the true ways of God’s instruction through the Holy Spirit. This is exactly the same peril into which the Jews fell in Jesus’ time. The understanding of God’s heart cannot be learned in this way. The hearts of Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David are the reason why God could set them apart for the entrustment of service unto him.
Our hearts as God’s people should have no patience with the sprits of Esau and Ishmael in his house. It is our job as sons to rebuke and reject those attitudes. A priest of God, first and foremost, must have a heart for his people. What the father wants as a holy entrustment is what we should desire as well. Immanuel expounds on this crucially important topic for this season in the first part of this series. God’s judgement is indeed upon his house.
