When considering the feasts implemented by God for both the natural and spiritual House of Israel, creation is beginning to see, not only their purpose but their time of fulfillment. God’s ordained feasts are identified with the Tabernacle of Moses and points to God’s continual revealing process. This speaks of receiving man, who, when maturing from one feast or level of spiritual experience to another, he is to finally fulfill the purpose of these three main feasts. This speaks of moving beyond or gaining the experience of the Outer court, the Feast of Passover, to ultimately arrive or experience the dimension, the realm of the Holy of Holies, the Feast of Tabernacles. These feasts likewise cover the ages of time as instituted by God. That is, throughout the ages God has established a time for each to be perfectly fulfilled. While many people are willing to remain in the Outer court level of maturity and experience, certain one’s pursue each level as revealed by God. This increased knowledge, which comes by revelation from the Holy Spirit, makes available to each receiving vessel a spiritual awareness of their God given rights for manifestation.
In observing the Outer court, the Feast of Passover, we can partake of the rights that enable the receiver to experience its level known as a spiritual rebirthing. This rebirthing, for a receiving people, means the experience of salvation from the former sins of man’s sin nature to become a child belonging to the family of God. Therefore, certain rights belong to this receiving people for forgiveness of sins committed. But also included is a continual washing by the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, through a continual asking for forgiveness of continual failures.
1 John 1:9,
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.
In observing these types represented by the Tabernacle of Moses, God speaks loudly to enlarge and give His people a greater understanding concerning His ways. In this, we can understand that God, in speaking to His church, instructs her to know about and receive the needed power and authority necessary to become faithful witnesses for His manifesting kingdom.
Luke 24:49,
“Behold, I send the Promise of my Father, upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem [representing the church] until you are endued with power from on high”.
This word “power” here is the Greek word “dunamis” which has the meaning of “energy, power, might, great force, great ability, and strength. Sometimes it is used as divine power overcoming all resistance”. The promised Holy place, the Feast of Pentecost realm was and is the next step in becoming the norm for the Spirit-filled and Spirit-led church. Therefore, this Holy place realm is to be the continuing next experience for God’s people. This Feast of Pentecost realm is unto those who are willing to receive, the baptism of the Holy Spirit as instructed by Jesus.
Note that the Feast of Pentecost, observed in the third month is mentioned three times in the New Testament. Also, understand that God’s use of the number three means resurrection perfection and divine completeness. This number three also draws attention to the three pieces of furniture within the Holy place. The furniture within this Holy place speaks of experiences that prepare a people to enter into another higher realm of spirituality, a maturing experience concerning God’s intended purpose. This means, that the Feast of Pentecost, unto those who experience and participate in that experience, is sufficient to finally clothe God’s people and enable them to enter beyond the Vail into God’s Holy of Holies. Understand that by taking full advantage of the available Holy Spirits power, through the cross, God’s people can become complete and without fault to stand before God’s within His throne-room authority.
Rev. 14:5,
“And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God”.
This throne of God, typed by the Holy of Holies fulfills the Feast of Tabernacles.
With the true church having it’s beginning on the Day of Pentecost within the upper-room in Jerusalem some two thousand years ago, we can gain insight as we observe the progression and upward growth of God’s true church. The prophet Hosea gives us insight as to the move accomplished for God’s purpose in gaining full stature as to that purpose.
Hosea 6:1-2,
“Come, and let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days [two thousand years]
He will revive us; on the third day [third 1000-year day] He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight”. Note the two-thousand-year period (a day in the Lord is as a thousand years), also points to the two days of the church and its history, which has known a time of being torn and stricken. The church, because of knowing only in-part (read 1 Cor. 13th chapter), during its time has had a need for continual healing and a binding up, but a time which shall come to its end by spiritually maturing into God’s appointed third day.
This end points to the next day in God, a third day in which the true church is now entering into. A time when God’s church is to stand up to live in His sight, a church birthed into the eternal kingdom of God. This birthing is a moving beyond the spiritual movements and the sanctifying work of the Holy place, the Feast of Pentecost. This is a birthing into that place of perfection (He that is perfect has come) called the Holy of Holies, the Feast of Tabernacles.
First, what is it that the Holy place realm of Pentecost is to accomplish? Note and understand that in moving from one realm of God to another, from one Feast to another, the movement transfers or brings along with it the work of the former realm into the next. Thus, the work of the cross in the Outer court moves with the vessel as it remains a part of that vessels life and sanctification. Note the Apostle Paul’s declaration in declaring, “I die daily” which reveals the work of the Holy place. Know and understand that the power received from the Holy Spirit’s baptism only works as we remain as good stewards of God’s grace. 1 Peter 4:10 declares,
“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God”.
This means for us that each vessel is to use the gifts entrusted to them by the Lord for the strengthening and encouragement of fellow church members, the workings of the body of Christ.
With the Feast of Pentecost taking place fifty days after the Passover Feast we should consider that these fifty days also speak to us of the infilling of the Holy Spirit, the anointing from God to achieve all the purposes of Pentecost. This anointing is necessary and needed to complete God’s plan of redemption. With God, using numbers to speak specific truths and understandings to His people, a question some ask is why the number one hundred and twenty and did God know exactly how many were in the upper-room on that day to reveal a certain truth? Acts 1:15 states,
“And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty), and said”.
This number 120 reveals and speaks with a specific meaning. That is, this 120 speaks of the end of man’s flesh. Gen. 6:3 declares that man is flesh and that flesh is to come to its end.
“And the Lord said, My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he [man] is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years”.
This scripture is in reference to the end of man’s physical body. Meaning, that man borne with a sin nature, the flesh, shall come to the place of spiritual maturity wherein the sin nature dies; it shall no longer rule over the man. Is this not the purpose of the Holy place, the Feast of Pentecost? An ending to carnality as it manifests through the flesh man.
The pieces of furniture within this Holy place realm reveal for us the action, the work that the Holy Spirit is to accomplish while man dwells within this realm of Pentecost. Notice, first of all the candlestick which speaks of the anointing that reveals or enlightens the vessel as to who Christ really is as well as the weakness and fallacies of the sin-nature man. Here the Outer court realm of the Passover Feast (forgiveness) continues to fulfill its work as the Holy Spirit renews the soul, the changing from a sin-nature mind-set into a resurrected living soul, becoming one with the mind of Christ. In this change within the soul, it is here that God writes His governmental law, writing His nature upon the heart of the man.
Heb. 8:10,
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws [nature] in their mind and write them on their hearts [souls]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people”.
God, through the progressive revealing of Himself by the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, fulfills the candlestick of spiritual enlightenment. Thus, God is creating for Himself a new creation man who shall become the visible expression of an invisible God.
The second piece of furniture in the Holy place we look at is the Table of Showbread. Here the unleavened bread upon the Table of Showbread is placed there for the Priest to eat. This bread, twelve loaves in number, speaks to us of the divine government of God, His nature. By partaking of this bread, the Word of God, a certain people are becoming the body of Christ who puts on this divine governmental order. That is, they are resurrecting into the nature of God as He reveals Himself unto the vessel. Therefore, as this people drink His blood (Passover) and eat His flesh (the word becoming flesh) a new nature begins to appear as it manifests the Christ in the earth again.
John 1:14,
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth”.
The word “flesh” as used in this scripture has the meaning of “the lower nature of a person, the seat and vehicle of sinful desires”. Thus, with the Word of God becoming flesh, this points to the transforming of the body of Christ from that lower nature of man into a people expressing the nature of God. Here the flesh man dies that the man might live again in and of Christ. How it is that man might live again? Man lives again because of the word made flesh in his body, becoming the Inchristed ones. The word “glory”, as used in the above scripture, is a word meaning “splendor, radiance, and majesty centered in Jesus Christ”. Thus, we see a changed people purposed to bring glory to God and His Christ. This changed people are to become the body of Christ. Are we not to become His expression in the earth? 2 Thess. 1:10 states,
“When He comes, in that day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed”.
The Feast of Pentecost is the Holy place realm where a physical and spiritual people know healing and a daily renewal in partaking of the glory for God’s latter house. Today, the Word and Spirit of God are destroying all that is of the fleshly sin nature of man as it has manifested itself through the carnal mind.
Haggai 2:9,
‘The glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of host, and in this place I will give peace, says the Lord of hosts”.
This scripture is speaking of a latter house glory that is pointing to the final act and the completion of the Holy place realm, the Feast of Pentecost.
As we now look at the Altar of Incense, the third piece of furniture in the Holy place, we see a piece of furniture that is made of shittim wood that types for us the nature of fallen man. However, note that this wood is not to remain as one ruled over by the sin nature but one that receives the nature of Christ. The wood of this Altar is overlaid with gold, which is a type of the Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit. When yielded unto; the Holy Spirit divides and separates through the sacrificing of the sin nature. This sanctifying work begins and continues from the cross as Christ blood is also sprinkled upon this Altar of Incense.
The blood on this altar speaks of a final dying out to the sin nature, a preparation of finality that shall finally birth the man-child into the Holy of Holies, the throne-room of God. Herein we see the fulfilling of the Feast of Pentecost as we hear another trumpet call. A time for a God ordained Day of Atonement and the Year of Jubilee. This is speaking of a time when a new man begins to walk (spirit, soul and body), being joined fully with the Jesus Christ in the Holy of Holies, a coming into the Feast of Tabernacles, being birthed into God’s throne-room.
Is this not the time of God’s third 1000-year day? Remember, as the prophet Hosea says,
“On the third day he will raise us up, that we may live in His sight”.
This, speaking of a people birthed from one realm into another. This third day promise of God is a people birthed into His throne-room Holy of Holies, a people experiencing the glory of God’s latter house. A people becoming the Kings and Priests of God with His promised kingdom manifesting itself unto all His creation. This place of promise, unto all those who overcome the fallen dead soul of man and the appetites of man’s sin nature, is to now put on and become God’s new creation man.
Rev. 3:21,
“To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father in His throne”.
1 Peter 2:9
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light”.
Note the word “praises” which points to a people who become the manifestation of God’s miracle power. Note the word “called” which speaks of God’s call upon a people to participate in the blessings of His kingdom. Now note the word “darkness”, an evil system absolutely opposed to the light. Darkness involves spiritual, moral, and intellectual darkness that arises from error, ignorance, disobedience, willful blindness, and rebellion. God’s purpose then is for a people to leave behind the darkness of a fallen sin nature and become a people who become the manifestation of God’s glory and power.
Is this not the third day from Jesus Christ and His death, burial and resurrection? In God’s timing, we are now in the time of resurrection, a people birthed from the sanctifying and dying of the Holy place into the throne-room life of the Holy of Holies. Does the above darkness still apply to us as a people or are we willing to die to self and the sin nature that we might become those called to manifest God’s praises? To this God says, “Come forth my people, come forth. This is the day I have made for the fullness of my purpose to be fulfilled”. Let us therefore be spiritually matured and birthed into the throne-room place of God’s glory, His visible manifestation in all the earth as we leave all in-part understandings and life-styles behind. A kingdom purposed by God has come.
