I see a long highway road that is in pretty rough shape; it has a lot of bumps and curves in it. The sky is dark, except for the stars that illuminate the path with a very dim light. Faintly in the distance, I see a large tower.
Coming from my viewpoint, a set of two very large hands grab the two corners of the road and shake it, like a blanket. This reveals a bunch of roots and tree stumps on the underside of the road. These hands then tuck the road under his arm, like when you carry a blanket. With the other hand, he swipes away the roots and stumps. Then he repositions the corners of the blanket and shakes it violently to release the kinks. He then lays the road back down in a straight line and on the even ground. Then the hands then draw a line in the dirt on either side of this straight highway.
In the distance, I see a formation of soldiers begin to march down the road. The uniform they are wearing is very peculiar because it almost looks like it is made of a quilt. The helmets are also quite the spectacle. The top part looks like the hat of a chef, but it has pom pom balls on the top of it, which are made from some kind of red fruit. The soldiers are each fitted with a holster to carry their weapons. As they are marching, a very distinct sound is made on the pavement from their shoes. Upon closer inspection, it looks like they are wearing soccer cleats. The shoes have metal spikes on the bottom of them. The rhythm made when they march is hard to describe. It sounds harsh, due to the pavement and metal contact.
On command, the soldiers take out their weapons and I notice they are not weapons at all, but rather various instruments. They point them toward the dark sky and start playing. Arrows shoot out of the instruments into the sky and the stars that were giving off a slight light begin to fall on either side of the highway. As they hit the ground, a fire is created. The line that was drawn in the sand acts as a barrier for the fire so the fire stops at this highway.
The soldiers place the instruments back in their holsters and once again begin to march forward in complete darkness. The road turns into dirt and they enter a dark cave. The soccer cleats on their feet give them a perfect grip on thIs new red dirt path. They continue to march until they get to the center of the cave. Here they kneel on the ground and begin to dig with their bare hands. They take off their hats and remove one of the fruits that make the pom poms on their hat. They place them in the dirt and then cover them back up.
Out of a crack in the cave, a small ray of light hits the clay ground and a whole vineyard of trees begins to sprout up. As the dirt is moving from its place during this rapid growth, a den of snakes is disturbed. The trees grow to full maturity within seconds and break through the cave. At this point, all the snakes begin to spill out on the ground of the city that is sitting above the cave. The soldiers climb up the trees and out of the cave and then to a position above the city that gives them a bird’s eye view. People from the city emerge out of their houses and buildings to see what the commotion is about, but quickly return inside when they see the snakes all over the ground.
At this time, the soldiers take off their hats again and pull the remaining fruits off of their pom pom hats. They begin to drop these fruits onto the ground. When the fruits hit the ground, they break open, almost like they were made from glass. When they break, an explosion of light comes out of the fruit. With every drop of these fruits from above, the snakes scatter and disintegrate.
As the snakes disappear, people begin to come out of the remaining buildings and houses again. The ground looks like a war zone, and this frightens most of them back inside. Instead of noticing the threat of the snakes that had been eliminated, all they see is the destruction of the ground. However, some of the people come outside with curiosity and not only notice that the snakes are dead, but see the ginormous trees that now are scattered throughout the city. As they gaze upward, they are able to see the soldiers who have now made a tree house out of their quilt looking uniforms. These curious people climb the trees to join the soldiers in this safe dwelling place.
Back down below, the people that are still in houses begin to get restless. They are isolated, lonely and begin to run out of provisions. The result is this is a state of utter chaos. They begin to loot, hoard and kill in a desperate attempt to protect themselves. Most of them die in this upheaval.
During this pandemonium, an earthquake shakes the entire city. The buildings crumble and the trees shake. The leaves of the trees fall to the ground, but their roots keep them from being destroyed. This intense shaking does however cause the leaves to fall off the trees and onto the ground. As they do, the season changes to fall and the leaves create a blanket across the ground. This serves as a protection and provides nutrients needed to the trees as the winter season blows in. My attention is more on the ground as I watch the process of decay, protection and new growth under the surface. As spring emerges, this new life begins to release into the land. This vision ended as the people began to climb down the trees and rebuild on this new rehabilitated land.
