Rise Up in the Spirit of God!
God is spirit and can only be fully revealed to us in the Spirit. By design, God made it impossible for man to know him through his own mind. The truth of God that sets us free is his life in sonship. There is only one faith, one life and one father. There is no other way to know the Father and secure his entrustment. It is the devil who works tirelessly in an effort to deceive man into thinking there are other ways in which God can be served. What Jesus teaches about this life is not a doctrine but a lifestyle.
If one focuses their faith on Jesus, they will become like him. This is indeed good news because God wants you to be his son. It is his desire for you to be his son, no matter what you’ve done or where you came from. There is a prescribed way, however, that one must approach God to become a son. The pharisaical work of the present day church is not in this way, however. The present day church is not teaching about sonship. God wants you to be a son far more than he wants you to do things for him. It is important to remember that we have nothing of value to offer God, other than our relationship to him. Immanuel Sun expounds on these truths in today’s meeting.
