Audio Only Version:
In modern day Christianity, God’s love is often misconstrued in such a way that gives credence to this false truth that the genuine process of repentance, the work of sanctification, is no longer necessary. This is simply not true.
An unsanctified son will always be easily swayed by the enemy, wherein a state of carnality is produced that will not allow us to enjoy the true peace, joy and righteousness of the Holy Spirit in God. The Holy Spirit is unable to freely move in His way in an unsanctified believer. The flesh is always at war with the spirit. This is why it essential that we allow God to deal with our sin, on a daily basis, so that we are able to flow and abide in the Spirit.
In order for this process to be meted out in us, we have to agree in our heart to put aside the old self, our sinful nature. When God begins to cleans us, he wants us to be “white as snow.” He will begin to deal with the innermost parts of us, much of which we may be unaware that is in need of God’s work to eradicate it within us. It is a very humbling place to be brought by the Lord. It is a place where we feel as if we’ve lost our footing and are powerless.
Immanuel Sun and Tim Pinson, Jr. talk about this in today’s meeting.
