The Fulfillment of the Eternal Purpose of God
Tim Pinson, Jr. opens the meeting talking about false perspectives of man as it relates to his survival, wellbeing, purpose that act like a filter that forms perspectives through which we discern everything in our lives. When we don’t fully understand the heart of the Father and his purpose, we are left with our own discernment of the words of God. We tend to fill in with our own understanding that which the Spirit of the Lord can only reveal. Lack of maturity in the understanding of God in the face of such a condition will ultimately lead to deception. What happened to Adam and Eve in the garden is the perfect example. As close to the Father as they were in the garden, they still had not yet come to a place of knowing his real purpose, which made it easy for the enemy to introduce a “different way” by distorting the word of God which ultimately lead them astray. No matter how smart or educated one may be, they may be able “see” everything but they “perceive” nothing. Tim expounds on this in today’s meeting.
Immanuel Sun talks about the danger of thinking you have the full understanding of God’s purpose and consider yourself to be walking in it when you’re not. Being born again is most typically understood in modern, Western Christianity as receiving the Holy Spirit, believing in God, and perhaps being gifted or having unique experiences in the Lord. Being born again in God’s purpose is being reborn as a son. That’s the only definition given in the Bible. If you are reborn as a son, you will love the ways of the Father. Your love for him will not be just for your namesake. You will have a personal relationship with him untainted by any other doctrine. The old self must die on the altar before this sonship can be attained. It is an absolute requirement. No exceptions. Immanuel expounds on this in today’s meeting.
