“Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.”
Revelation 11:15 ESV
The enemy would like for doubts and fears or religious views to enter our minds when we hear the word, “kingdom”, because he greatly fears the kingdom of God coming (walking in flesh form) on earth in God’s people.
The word translated “kingdom” in the New Testament is the Greek word “basileia” and comes from the root word “basis”. “Basileia” means “foundation of power, realm, rule, or royalty”. “Basis” means “to walk, to pace, or foot.”
A kingdom is a government ruled by a sovereign. It may be helpful to think of the kingdom of God as the “government of God.”
In essence, this is a spiritual government that transcends from the heavenly realms and rules over any current political atmosphere.(Tyre)
The Hebrew word shakem translated “shoulder” means the neck area between the shoulders where burdens are placed.
Isaiah 9:6 tells us that the “government shall be on His shoulders”.
A devine government is born and rests upon the (yolk/foundation) of Christ(headship) rather than upon the personalities of human beings, governed by principalities.
What does this Devine government look like in the earth realm?
“And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.’
Daniel 7:27 ESV
God’s dominion on earth will be established over all other kingdoms (principalities/ governments) though a group of people (the bride of Christ). This bride is a company of people who are not conformed by the culture (government) of this world, but rather have been renewed (in the mind) to be like the Father.
This process of sanctification begins with the purification of the motives of one’s heart. Only a pure heart can hear the secrets of God’s kingdom. This means the heart must be free from any other allegiance above God. This heart must be healed from the enemy’s wounds. This heart must not only desire to serve God alone, but also have the freedom to truly do it. It is a heart that has no needs or desires apart from God, but only desires to do His will.
“For your heart will always pursue what you esteem as your treasure.”
Matthew 6:21 TPT
The pursuit of knowing Him is the treasure that we seek and we joyously walk in obedience to anything God commands.
God’s love, flowing in and through His bride, produces obedience, righteousness and justice. Righteousness and justice always lead to peace; and from peace comes true joy.
“And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.”
Isaiah 32:17 ESV
Righteousness means conforming one’s nature with God’s holy standard. This leads us to be able to administer His standard (justice). Because God is righteous, He must judge what doesn’t measure up to His standard. But, God’s justice allows Him to reward those who have been faithful to Him.
His “loving kindness” reveals God’s grace and mercy to judge according to His heart rather than human logic or notions of fairness.
Righteousness is a transformative mindset process, led by the living Word of God. This rhema word of God is only given to those humbled before Him as a willing vessel to be used to carry out His will. In these chosen vessels, He imparts His living ways. It’s His great pleasure to use these individuals to bring His Kingdom order (culture) on earth. For He knows exactly how to join all things together in perfect unity so that His living way of love can be displayed on Earth as it is in heaven.
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.”
Romans 14:17-19 ESV
Mutual upbuilding implies a relationship and righteousness from above is what enables us to do right relationships. -Righteousness produces peace
“This love means living in obedience to whatever God commands us. For to walk in love toward one another is the unifying commandment we’ve heard from the beginning.”
2 John 1:6 TPT
“Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”
Ephesians 4:15-16 ESV
Joints are what hold together different parts of body. As we are all unique parts of the body of Christ, the Lord will join us together in Devine relationships, meant to build up the body. (Build up His Kingdom.
As the Lord joins two people together, a spiritual manifestation of the presence of God is poured out in the way they relate. The glory of this love saturates every part of life. No darkness can remain in this light for it a consuming love that changes everything it encounters. We become consumed with great peace, and joy from this “first love.”
These relationships, (first Father to Son, and then Son to Son) forms a governmental order of His Kingdom on earth. This is God’s work in action, through a divine order that produces a unique culture that will continually expand.-
-Order of Melchizedek
“Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.”
Isaiah 9:7 ESV
