The Order of Melchizedek – David’s Life – Ascension to Kingship
We again offered a review of the purpose of this set of teachings. That is to use Abraham and David’s life as an example to witness two things:
- The amily culture of God, mainly in preparing our heart for the righteousness of God be actualized in us.
- The kingdom culture of God, mainly in preparing our spiritual capacities (authority and power with divine grace) to render peace (divine order) in His stead.
As a result, God will rejoice over his chosen people and His people will rejoice in His ways and His favor.
To quote Paul:
Romans 14:17–18 (NASB95)
17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men.
After that, we begin to examine the story of David’s life when was established as king over Judah, then over all Israelites. Hopefully, through this, we can clearly see how David was able to be prepared and put into practice the two educations as shared in
Psalm 78:72 (NASB95)
72 So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them with his skillful hands.
