The Shepherd’s Heart
In this day and hour there is a serious misunderstanding in the House of the Lord by most in modern Christianity as to how one should receive those who are sent by God to teach and instruct. Perceiving such a person as merely a “good person” with some good wisdom to be applied to “my life” completely misses the intent of God’s heart in the discipleship of a son. It absolutely matters the way in which one receives a person sent by God, particularly our younger generation. Two of the biggest pitfalls for our younger generation related to this is, 1) ignorance of understanding of God’s work in how he raises up a son (causing a failure to yield to it), or 2) the chosen denial that these are the methods used by God to raise up a son (the work of discipleship), thus, creating a rebellious attitude toward the one sent by God. Immanuel Sun talks about this in today’s meeting.
