“Poverty and shame will come to him who neglects discipline, But he who regards reproof will be honored.”
Proverbs 13:18 NASB

It seems that in this age of perversion and mockery, word of wisdom is proved inapplicable. Whoever is loud or “smart” is assumed to have more conviction, thus truth. What shallowness!
God who sits at heaven laughs at the way of the wicked, for He knows the end of their smartness. Before Him, no man can prevail by his lips. “Every tongue will confess…”; “what is hidden will be revealed…”
He who exams men knows our heart; He who rewards man knows our deeds. Just like goats are separated from sheep, so will it be the false bride separated the true; tares from wheat, the harvest of lawlessness will be clearly distinguished from that of righteousness.
“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'”

“Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name. “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.” So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.”
