(Post script added on 6/27/24 below the vision.)
A group of kids are camping down by a river. They are washing in the water, fishing and setting up the campground. The sun begins to set and the kids get in a tent and fall asleep.
In the middle of the night, a man comes in the tent and whispers for them to come with him immediately. A few of the kids wake up and begin to leave the tent. It is super dark except for the light that is coming from the man.
The man walks back in the tent, with more urgency in his voice and again tries to wake them. This arouses a few more of the children who join the others outside.
A third time, the man goes into the tent and begins to shake the remaining children. These children are startled and our of sorts. Some of them begin to cry and feel very unsure of their surroundings, but they reluctantly get up and almost sleepwalk outside. The remaining children in the tent settle back down and fall asleep. The man weeps and leaves the tent.
He then walks outside to join the children. There is a commotion with some, wanting to go back inside to grab their belongings. The man is in a hurry and firmly tells them to leave it all, because they need to leave quickly.
He then begins to lead the children down a thick terrain. No path has been paved where he is leading them. He goes first and knocks down the various branches and other obstacles in the way. No one is talking, but very focused on getting out of the forest. I can tell we are moving up in the terrain, maybe ascending up a hill or mountain.
In the distance, we can see the tent next to the river where the children were camping. It begins to rain and the width of the river increases at an accelerated rate. Within a few short minutes, we can see the tent being swept away by the raging water. Although we are watching, we are encouraged to not stop. We continue to climb.
Above our heads, we can hear rumbling and flashes of lights. It almost reminds me of fireworks, but with no sound or smoke. Everyone is sober and quiet at this point. I sense humbleness and reverence in the children. With every flash of light, the earth begins to move beneath our feet.
We notice ground below begin to break into pieces. Underneath the broken surface is hot, flowing lava. The lava begins to mix with the widening rushing river.
Up on the mountain, we can feel the heat, but it isn’t burning us.
——- Post Script 6/27/24——
This vision has prophetically been taking place in our midst. First in a whisper, then in a raised voice and at this time, we are receiving a violent shake.
The children in the tent represent those who have become spiritually lifeless and complacent within this temporary place of dwelling. They feel secure in their earthly comforts, but are spiritually asleep and unaware that the Lord will soon visit them in judgment.
Unfortunately, their spiritual numbness prevents them from recognizing the impending danger and preparing for it.
The Lord says, “wake up sleeper”. For a time is closely approaching where this generation will experience both the supernatural goodness of the Lord, and the severity of His judgement. Along with God’s judgement and destruction, is His enduring promise of forgiveness and redemption.
As a people, we have been called as spearheads during this time of history. Being forerunners, we will begin to experience these things before others.
There is an awaking that God wants to bring to His church. That is why judgment is beginning in the House of the Lord.
There will be a great falling away from those who previously had claimed themselves as Christians. In some measure, we can already witness this taking place.
When the Lord withdraws His presence from a people, it’s as if He leaves the room. Without the light of His presence, darkness will begin to reveal itself in all the hidden corners. After a time, the Lord will return again, but this time will not be gentle, but as a righteous judge.
This can be likened to the raging flood in the river. He will come like a thief, taking away whatever stands in defiance of His will and purposes.
It won’t be a sneaky theft but a just and righteous claim on everything that is owed to Him.
His fire of judgement is purposed to both destroy and purify.
Just as a refiner melts down gold or silver to remove impurities, this fire exposes and removes all that hinder us from being made into His likeness.
His judicial presence will be both awe-inspiring and terrifying, especially for those who have become complacent in their own ways, and therefore neglect their relationship with Him.
“For the Lord your God is a consuming fire; He is a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely His].”
Deuteronomy 4:24 AMP
The Lord is trying to have a conversation with us, and longs to share with us His heart. But many of our eyes, hearts and minds are fixated elsewhere.
There is a Harriet Tubman quote that says, “If I could have convinced more slaves that they were slaves, I could have freed thousands more.”
We are all slaves to either our carnal man, under dominion of the great deceiver, or our Spirit man, led by creator of all things.
The carnal man refers to our natural, earthly mindedness. It’s driven by instincts, desires, and worldly influences which trends toward selfishness, sin, and material attachments.. When we follow our fleshly desires, the carnal man takes the wheel and we are blinded to the higher calling and inheritance we have as Sons.
The opportunity to ascend the mountain is an invitation for a profound and real relationship with the Father. To know Him fully and to fully be known by Him. This is not for those who think they have everything together, or those complacent in their sin. He is extending Himself to those who realize they are nothing without Him and are willing to repent of all lower ways and yield to a Spirit led, different way of life.
The outward obedience to this way of life will not do, for the Lord is a jealous God and longs for a fully devoted heart, mind and soul. We must be committed to a life fully separated from the things of the world, and fully devoted for His holy and set apart purposes.
There is no time to be idle, so choose this day whom you will serve. He will bypass those who are not willing and ready.
“Part with sin and self-sufficiency, and come to Christ with a sense of your poverty and emptiness, that you may be filled with his hidden treasure.”
Without proper community and discipleship, man alone will not be able to withstand the judgment that is coming. As we fully intertwine with the Spirit of Sonship, He will give His heart and bestow in us His treasure of counsel and wisdom.
For those whose hearts are pure and humble, He is calling us higher corporately. Remember that the Father’s discipline is a demonstration of His love, it shows God’s principle of restoration. The fire will destroy every fleshly confidence, independence and self-centered mindset until all that remains is a purified hunger for the Lord Himself. He will collectively give us His nature and character. Having the mind of Christ, the fire of His judgement will engulf us, but it will not consume us. We will not be moved by circumstances, but rather will ignite a change in the circumstances.
In fact, the Lord spoke to my spirit and said that as we are purified by the fire, we will become the fire. We will help prepare the Bride of Christ to beautiful, without any spot or blemish, for when the Bridegroom arrives.
(Please see the prophetic word given on 6/11/24 for more details on the heart posture.)
“Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh, the allurement of the things of the world, and the obsession with status and importance —none of these things come from the Father but from the world. This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever.”
1 John 2:15-17 TPT
“Wake up, and strengthen and reaffirm what remains [of your faithful commitment to Me], which is about to die; for I have not found [any of] your deeds completed in the sight of My God or meeting His requirements. So remember and take to heart the lessons you have received and heard. Keep and obey them, and repent [change your sinful way of thinking, and demonstrate your repentance with new behavior that proves a conscious decision to turn away from sin]. So then, if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.”
Revelation 3:2-3 AMP
“His voice shook the earth then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.” Now this [expression], “Yet once more,” indicates the removal and final transformation of all those things which can be shaken—that is, of that which has been created—so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; for our God is [indeed] a consuming fire. [Deut 4:24]”
Hebrews 12:26-29 AMP
“How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.”
Proverbs 6:9-11 NIV
“But we are a colony of heaven on earth as we cling tightly to our life-giver, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our humble bodies and transfigure us into the identical likeness of his glorified body. And using his matchless power, he continually subdues everything to himself.”
Philippians 3:20-21 TPT
“We are reborn into a perfect inheritance that can never perish, never be defiled, and never diminish. It is promised and preserved forever in the heavenly realm for you! So then, prepare your hearts and minds for action! Stay alert and fix your hope firmly on the marvelous grace that is coming to you. For when Jesus Christ is unveiled, a greater measure of grace will be released to you. As God’s obedient children, never again shape your lives by the desires that you followed when you didn’t know better. Instead, shape your lives to become like the Holy One who called you. For Scripture says: “You are to be holy, because I am holy.” Since you call on him as your heavenly Father, the impartial Judge who judges according to each one’s works, live each day with holy awe and reverence throughout your time on earth. For you know that your lives were ransomed once and for all from the empty and futile way of life handed down from generation to generation. It was not a ransom payment of silver and gold, which eventually perishes, but the precious blood of Christ—who like a spotless, unblemished lamb was sacrificed for us.”
