I see a woman who built up a house using paper made bricks. She took great pain to paint the bricks with beautiful designs and encouraging words of hope and wisdom. She loved the house so and believed that by living in it, it surely will bless her with a life of safety, wisdom and happiness. Till one day.
A strong gust came and the paper house was torn away. All her labor and comfort now was lost. So she became bitter in heart and questioned God of His word and His ways.
This is what I heard of God’s answer to her in paraphrase:
“Have I not told you to build your house by honing the stones and gather them to me? Yet you refused and deemed it a hard labor that I would not exact on anyone. Yet in this, you are wrong.”
“When you asked me to show you a vision of a house of my blessings, I had not withhold it from you. But have you ever asked me how it should be built? When you built a house with your imagination and deceit, how could I bless it?”
“Blame not me nor the wind. Blame the lie and those lied to you against my ways and my counsel.”
“You reaped what you had sown! If you sow in wind, you will reap in wind. Had I not told you?”
“Who is wise amongst the daughters of man? Those who not merely cherish my promises but also walks in my ways.”
“Blessed are those whose houses is built upon me and through me! These are the wise virgins that I will reward.”
