I feel led to share a vision I had. There seems to be a continual theme speaking of the urgency of the time. I hope I am not sounding false alarms, but rather, that this can be helpful to all of us to learn to heed the voice of the Father at such a time as this…
About a week ago, I had a very “spiritual” night. I had a lot of visitations and revelations, most of which I forgot when I woke up. But when something has happened three times in a row, it is hard to forget. I had three similar visitations from the Lord. I can’t really say that they were three dreams, but I would classify them as three visions. Let me share the details with you:
I was standing at the corner of our old home, where our gateway meets the main road, which runs through the village where I grew up. (This corner happens to be the very spot where many of my spiritual encounters took place in my dreams.) It seemed that I had been waiting there for awhile. Then a carriage or chariot would rush by and suddenly come to a stop in front of me. It was pulled by two or three horses. The carriage and the horses were not visually impressive at all. But the whole thing is apparently from ancient times. I am not sure what the chariot was made of.
When it paused before me, the driver would turn his face to me and bid me to come to sit by his side. There were two other riders on the back seat. They would also eagerly look at me and appear to be thrilled to have me ride with them. For the first two times, I made no hesitation to jump on and sit down. Then swiftly the driver would take off. It seemed that I knew what I was about to do with such a sweet and vigilant company. I felt quite comfortable to be accommodated by them. They were sent to help, and I was not shy to receive their help.
But when they came by the third time, I became a bit apprehensive. I felt that I was not worthy to be in their rank, and felt as though I had no idea of what was going to happen. As I was hesitating, the three persons in the chariot began to laugh at me with great affection and openness. The two on the back looked at the driver, and then looked at me, with big grins on their faces, as if they already knew that I would hesitate. But they said nothing. The driver turned around, laughing with them. Then as if knowing their intentions, He began to turn to look at me.
Suddenly, I recognized that He is no other than my Lord Jesus. He then began to speak to me, something to this effect: “Come on, it is time for you to teach, we are sent here to accompany you. There is no time to waste. Let us get on with it. ” I looked back at Him in great amazement and am greatly puzzled, as I did not recall that I was actually riding with the Lord for the first two times. What did He mean that I was to teach? Isn’t it supposed to be Him teaching me all things? Who am I to teach anyone anything with Him at my side? Then as if He had read my mind, either by speech or by revelation, I suddenly recognized what had happened with the other rides previous: The first ride was for me to learn, the second was to fellowship with them and get acquainted with things at a destination somewhere that the chariot would take us. I would get the chance to witness what they would do. Of these I had no memory, only a blurry clue from the reassuring gaze of the Lord that they did take place. Now, I came to know that this time it would be my turn. They would accompany me and see how I would apply my knowledge and teach others of the things I had learned.
I could not believe what I had just heard. I looked back at the Lord and felt a bit miserable and very surprised. I knew that anything of such a nature would certainly not be my doing… Then I began to take notice of the man sitting just behind Him. I couldn’t recall what he looked like, but I recognized him as Moses of the old. Suddenly, I knew that Moses was called to teach the people of God of His ways, just like I would have to do.
Now without much lingering, I jumped onto the front seat beside Jesus. He had kindly and courteously opened the door for me. It seemed that as soon as I got situated, the Lord pulled the harness and the horses took off quickly. But the vision ended while I began to jump onto the chariot.
After I woke up, I was still in a state of unbelief of what just took place. So I lay down and prayed to the Lord that I would not fall into the sin of delusion or presumption. He revealed a lot of other things to me. Here are a few things I remembered very clearly:
- The one who is the third person- He was no other than Elijah the Prophet.
- The second, I asked the Lord, why was there no fire or glory about the chariot? It looked so plain and unimpressive. Certainly it is nowhere near the one He took Elijah with. The Lord told me that His fire will be all about it as soon as I sit down on my seat.
- The Lord also reminded me of my visitation of His glory on the Mountain Top, seeing Moses running about at the foot of the Mountain. It was with Peter, John and James that He revealed Himself in His glory. The Father’s word to the disciples was: “This is my Son, listen to Him.”
A Prayer:
Oh Lord, what is man, that You would endow us with such a glory and give us such a trust? May You ever be praised and exalted! Yes, Lord, I would fulfill my vows unto You. I am willing. And if I am not able to believe or proceed in all Your goodness and ways, help me and do not let me in any way fall short of fulfilling Your purposes, or defile Your Holy Name. Thank you for Your forgiveness and love. Indeed, how much I know, in me there is no good thing. All Good things come from You, my Father. Lord Jesus, keep me ever mindful of this knowledge. Father, keep me safe in the fear of you. This I pray as Your son and servant, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
