Chapter 3: The Mysteries Made Known

It should be known, especially among Christian peoples, that God’s Word is all powerful. The word is not restricted or hindered from performing completely and totally that which God speaks. His words, written or unwritten, contain within themselves all that is necessary to bring about a complete fulfillment. Unto the reader or hearer that receives these words, they also receive the power to become the expression of that word. This power received, will rest within the receiver, the vessel, until such time as the receiver releases them to become perfected from within. Often, as not, warfare, a spiritual work must be accomplished within the vessel first, before God’s Word can be fully realized and manifested. All opposition within each vessel must be conquered. This warfare, much of the time, causes confusion and a great inner concern. But, unto that one who stands firm in faith, the released word will conquer every enemy; it will conquer everything that stands in opposition to that word. This battle will continue until finally the word expresses itself in a full measure. It is for this reason and this cause that God releases from Himself, line upon line, precept upon precept, a little at a time, until maturity comes forth. It should be recognized, if God were to reveal Himself all at once to fallen man, it would destroy and utterly consume the vessel. Could this be one of the reasons why God causes some things to remain hidden as a secret mystery, until such time as God permits a further work to be done? When God reveals a truth, when all the mystery is removed, the work is completed through submission and its intended purpose is brought forth into a visible expression. What is it that God desires to reveal in and through you? What is He speaking unto you now? Could it be that now is the time for a people to become a greater expression of God in the earth, greater than ever before? If so, hear the words of the Father. For unto some, those hearing and receiving the word, now is the time for their complete fulfillment.

One thing we should ever keep in mind is that God has an eternal purpose. According to that purpose, He calls, He chooses, He reveals and He releases the power to become. Again we draw attention to Eph. 1:5 which declare, “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will”. We, foreordained by God to be placed as Sons according to His own counsel, His will is at work within us for His good pleasure. By the blood of the lamb, we are redeemed. While having spent our whole lives under the laws of this world, we are still destined to be completely liberated, set free from bondage and moved into a place of rulership. A people, having been elected by God, to hold such an office of purpose that we might take dominion over the earth, to subdue it, to be fruitful, multiply and establish God’s authority over all His creation.

With God’s purpose unable to ever be defeated and by using all things to complete His will, God releases from Himself unto the called, spiritual energy (the anointing) that all things may be according to what He has spoken. Eph. 1:8-9 says, “Wherein he hath abounded toward us all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:”. In God’s relating with a people, He delights in sharing His wisdom with them. But, thus far certain things concerning His will have continued to remain a secret mystery being kept from us, to remain so, until the time of His choosing. Then and only then, will He reveal and bring them forth. Know this, that it is the Father’s good pleasure to reveal Himself to each called vessel, to work a perfecting work within them, until perfection comes forth unto full manifestation. From the above scripture, it is again confirmed that God withholds His secrets, to keep them from being revealed and understood, until the time for them to be released, accomplished and manifested. Again, we should understand that the word can be spoken among us, but the hearing of it being declared does not make it a word received. But, unto those who receive the word and the revelation within shall also receive power and authority to become that revealed word. An enlightened word will began to captivate our attention until it becomes our focus. When focusing upon the revelation and giving ourselves up to it, the enlightened word consumes us and burns away all resistance until it is finally fulfilled unto manifestation.

People of God, there are a mystery that continues to remain a secret. It is a mystery that has been kept hidden since the world began, Could it not be that the mystery and those chosen from before the foundation of the world are an interlocking truth? One is as the other, only finding themselves fulfilling each other. Rom. 16:25 declares, “Now to him that is of power to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began”. A mystery will remain a secret, only until the time for its fulfillment. At that time it shall be revealed, then established and then expressed unto manifestation. “But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith”. (Rom. 16:26). Where was this mystery, this secret hidden? Could it not have been in the scriptures all the time, only hidden from prying eyes as parables, until the time for man to be brought forth in that truth? Even now, as in Jesus’ day, much of the Christian populace only hears the truth in parables. When Jesus was asked about why He taught in parables, He had this to say, “And the disciples came, and said unto him, why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given”. (Matt. 13:10-11). We must remember that every man is called forth in his own order, the place of his fulfillment. When the time of your order comes forth, the mysteries of the parables shall no longer remain hidden. They shall be made known to each one, as each is given an ear to hear by the quickening of the Holy Spirit. Have you not heard it spoken, “I just don’t understand”, only to have that same one later come forth rejoicing because of their new found understanding of that which was once hidden.

A mystery, a parable is a hidden truth, but it has a purpose, to be timely and divinely revealed. The English word “mystery” is a transliteration of the Greek word “MUSTERIOM”, which means “a sacred secret”. From the Chaldee word “RAZ” as used in Daniel’s day, it means “to conceal”. Hence, a mystery to something concealed that has a purpose, which can and is to be revealed in its time. Could it be said, that a mystery is something concealed that was there all the time? In Heb. 1:1 we are told that God has made known His will “at sundry times and in divers’ manners”. He also kept certain things secret, to reveal them from time to time according to His purpose and counsel. Thus, God conceals secrets until the time of His choosing, to the individual, as well as collectively and dispensational. Again in Matt. 13:10-11 we are shown that God revealed secrets of the Kingdom to his disciples, but not to the people in general. “And the disciples came, and said unto Him, Why speakest Thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given”. Why? Here this truth is confirmed, as we take note, that it had not before been known that the Kingdom in Jesus’ time would be rejected. In its rejection there would be a long interval between that rejection and the kingdom finally being set up in glory.

In Isa. 6:9-10 it was foretold that a people would be blind concerning God’s true kingdom. “And He said, Go, and tell the People, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of the People fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed”. While this blindness and dull of hearing was told to Isaiah, the duration of this condition was kept a “secret” from him and the people only to be revealed through Paul at a later date. Rom. 11:25 tells us, “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in”. There is much that can be said here, but simply consider, that blindness was to be a part of God’s promise concerning His seed (the sons of God) until the latter day church came into it’s time. Then, God would open the eyes of His chosen seed that they might know, understand and become the sons of God in the earth to establish God’s Kingdom.

While there are many secrets hidden in God, there is one that has been revealed which is very important for this last day church. It is that God shall have for Himself a perfected people through which to rule the earth. It is through these perfected one’s that God shall establish His Kingdom on the earth so they might restore all things back to God. The mystery of Godliness is a mystery that reveals and shows that a people shall, in perfection, are His people and He shall be their God. How? Could it not be that He shall dwell in them, making the whole man complete, spirit, soul and body? A whole man completed and manifesting the glory of God. Eph. 4:13 declares that a people shall be fully redeemed, “Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”. Thus, full salvation has a certain divine beginning and a certain divine conclusion, as well as a certain divine in-between. Much of the church of today dwells in the mind-set that says perfection or completion of man’s salvation will only take place after a physical death or a being carried away to some other place. But, does the Word of God confirm or agree with that mind-set?

Paul, in his writings, does not speak as though that state of perfection in the Christians life was unattainable on earth. Rather, he says in Phil. 3:12-15 that he, himself was looking to achieve a higher place of perfection. “Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded”. Paul, the apostle, called of God to receive such a revealing of the word. Used of God to write much of the New Testament, excelling in his ministry in every area, but knowing that God’s desire was to bring him and a people to a place of perfection, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

In Phil. 3:4-7 we are given Paul’s natural pedigree, things he could count as accomplishments in the flesh, but he counted them all but loss for Christ. “Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, and Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless; But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ”. What was Paul trying to show us? Could it be that the goal of the Christian life is not just to wait for an external catching away event in time and place, as most of the churches regularly teach and proclaim? Paul had been born again; he had experienced the speaking in tongues and the Pentecostal gifts. He had also known several years of fruitful ministry.

What then does Paul mean when saying in Phil.3:8, “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.” God has set a goal before us, which is, the full possession of Christ. It is this goal that we should direct our attention toward. No where does Paul teach that this goal is only for a person after they leave the earth to go to heaven. Isn’t this what most teach or believe today? In always putting the truth of God’s Word off into the future, we become stagnated in a swamp of doctrinal correctness while Christ is simply saying to us as was spoken to Israel, “Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward”. (Exodus. 14:15). But the mind-set of today is much like the children of Israel, “to do good, but never-get-there” attitude. Not so with those who are being led by the Holy Spirit. He encourages us to go forward and possess everything that God ever has been or has done. It pleased the Father to include in Jesus all the substance and nature of His own Holy being, a perfect and complete revelation and fulfillment of all God is. He who has the Son then, has everything, including the divine Godhead, all that God is, living within and out from the vessel.

A false concept in many man’s belief is: If we have been born again, spoken in tongues, gone to church for years, wrought miracles and done many wonderful works, then we have all of Christ. Not so, Paul, mighty in God, continued to press toward a higher calling. He was not willing to rest in his own righteousness, but he pressed toward the righteousness of God. Phil. 3:9 says, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law (law of the flesh)”. Friends, until we know Him and the power of His resurrection, working in the whole man, we must ever be found pressing onward to the fullness of our calling in Christ. Let us agree with Paul in Phil. 3:10, “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection….”

A “mystery”, a previously hidden truth, now divinely revealed, has much power. These truths are being revealed today as never before in modern day history. And what is their purpose? Remember, the word revealed gives power to become. Therefore, at the time of God’s revealing, He purposes to gather that truth into Himself as we remain in Christ. A many member body is being restored unto that which we were, in Him, before the foundation of the world. Eph. 1:10 declares, “That in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him:” I Cor. 15:20-25 also states, “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order; Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at His coming. Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power”.

Friends, we have a destiny. God has chosen us from before the foundation of the world with purpose. He has called us in due season and placed us under tutors of the Holy Spirit, that we might mature to the point of receiving our inheritance. These things are not after our own counsel, but God the Fathers. Eph. 1:11 states, “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will”. If He worketh all things after the counsel of His own will, does He not then bring them to pass? Is God’s Word unattainable? Is it something that is out of our reach for this life and can only be attained after physical death? Nay, but God has willed and purposed. He reveals Himself with purpose, to bring forth the firstfruits, the next order in God that each one may follow after, to come forth in their place and order in God. As God reveals Himself to you, receive and become, as He is even now coming forth in His saints. Set your goals and desires upon Christ and become a part of the Christ in the earth. Is this the day of our adoption? Is it now time for the sons of God to make their appearance? I say “yea and amen”. It is time, come forth quickly.
