Chapter Eight

“God’s Chosen Vessels”

In considering the Christ, it is very important to remember that He is both the head and a many member body, which God has anointed and called to bring forth the visible expression of the invisible God. He is a King/Priest company of people, purposed to establish the kingdom of God in the earth. These people manifest the greater works of the Father spoken of by Jesus. These are to come forth in a full measure, totally led of the Holy Spirit, in doing only what they see their Father do and saying only, what they hear Him say. These are a people pure in heart, with a love for God that surpasses all else. These serve God and He alone and as chosen vessels, called to express His nature, which lives within.

Isaiah 4:2 speaks to us of a Branch, “In that day shall the Branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious….” The branch spoken of here is the Hebrew word “ZEMACH” which has the meaning of “a sprout” and is used in scripture when speaking of the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth. However, in Isaiah 11:1, we are told, “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots”. The word “Branch” in this scripture is not the same Hebrew word as used in Isaiah 4:2. Here in Isaiah 11:1 the word translated “Branch” is the Hebrew word “NEZER” which has the meaning of “a shoot, a descendant”. These different Hebrew words and their meanings speak to us more along the line of shoots growing out from a sprout. With “sprout”, again a word used when speaking of the Messiah, we are shown God’s intended purpose in His birthing a people of like kind as the sprout. These are those “shoots” coming forth as offspring of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, “the sprout”. God has declared, in His word, that the elder son would have for Himself a generation. “…who shall declare his generation? …. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand”. (Isaiah 53:8 & 10). Pointing to a generation of the last day, to come forth in the earth, to manifest the greater works in which Jesus spoke of when speaking of going to the Father. John 14:12 states, “Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father”. (Also, read Isaiah 11:1-16).

In the appearing, the releasing or birthing of these “shoots, these descendants”, these chosen ones of the Father, a kingdom government is established which shall put to right standing all the kingdoms of the world’s wrongs. This government shall correct all that hurts or destroys. This kingdom changes the course of the Adam nature and causes peace to take the place of enmity. Isaiah 11:9 declares, “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea”. In that day, even as God visited Egypt with plagues and judgment to release Israel from bondage, so shall He visit the earth through a “root of Jesse”, a remnant of people, and the “shoots”, who have become an ensign in which all the world shall seek after? These ones shall find themselves moving in such as anointing, that humanity shall begin to see, through them, a visible expression of an invisible God. Herein God’s glory shall be manifest.

In this day spoken of, the earth shall begin to see the true seed of Abraham, the generation of which is the Christ. Through the release of a working revelation concerning these “last days”, these sons shall be matured and manifested as a Christ-like company who become God’s spokesmen and representatives on the earth. In Matt. 16:19 we are shown, “And I will give unto thee the keys [power to open] of the kingdom of heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven”. John speaks of the prerequisite needed for such a place of power and authority. John 5:19 says, “Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son [sprout and shoots] can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do: for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise”. This scripture is speaking of the Christ, both head and the many member body, concerning these last day works, which Jesus promised. This is a son company, which matures unto the place, wherein, they do nothing of themselves. The works, which they do, are only that which they see the Father do. This speaks of a special kind of relationship between the Father and the many member sons. In this relationship, they fulfill all that the Father has purposed for this day and that day which is to come.

It is of a certainty that God has purposed to build something for Him to dwell. However, in all God’s dealings with David, King over Israel, we can see that God did not desire, nor request of David to build Him a house of cedar in which to dwell. 2 Sam. 7:5-7 & 12-13 reveals that while David was not to build Him a house, God would have for Himself a seed, after David’s genealogy, that would be raised up for the purpose of building God a house to dwell in. “Go and tell My servant David, thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build Me an house for Me to dwell in? Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle, In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spoke I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed My People Israel, saying, Why build ye not Me an house of cedar? …. And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom forever”.

Who is this chosen seed God speaks of here? Who is the seed in whom God declares would become an eternal kingdom forever. I Cor. 3:16 declares for us who this kingdom, this dwelling place of God, this temple is, “Know ye not that ye are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” The Greek word used in this scripture for “temple” means, “the Sanctuary or actual Temple building consisting of the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies”. This clarifies for us; there are a people who do become God’s dwelling place, His chosen ones who become the expression of His glory as typed by the Old Testament Holy place and Holy of Holies. In the Old Testament tabernacle, among the children of Israel, God’s glory dwelt with a cloud by day and a fire by night confirming His presence. God shall in the last days, also establish for Himself a dwelling place. These chosen ones, they shall likewise become the visible expression of the invisible God, confirmed by the in-Christed anointing expressing in a full measure. We do not any longer live and manifest just the in part anointing, but in the fullness thereof. “For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.” (John 3:34).

God has promised it and even as His Word is yea and amen, it shall happen. Even now, there is a sounding trumpet heard throughout the land. God, as promised, is declaring the message, He is sending forth His sounding messenger that is proclaiming the day of His appearing. Even as John the Baptist was the messenger for the preparing of Jesus’ coming forth, likewise a messenger is sounding out and making ready the way for the appearing of the many members of Christ, those chosen ones who are ready to come forth. Mal. 3:1 shouts out, “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, Whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His Temple [who is His temple?], even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith the Lord of hosts”. Friends, even as we write, there is a revival of sorts, taking place, that is preparing the way for this appearing of the Christ and His body. It seems as if from every source and channel of ministry, a trumpet is sounding, declaring, “Prepare ye the way for the coming of the Lord”. God has risen up in many anointed ministers, used as this trumpet today. However, even as John the Baptist declared, they are not that Christ, but the Christ shall and will come. 2 Thess. 1:10 says in this manner, “When He shall [shall have] come to be glorified [expressed] in [being or remaining within, with the primary idea of rest and continuance] His saints [holy separated ones], and to be admired in all them that believe in that day”. This appearing will take place, the coming forth of Christ many members, the anointed ones, the in-Christed ones. They, as Jesus, shall follow in the aftermath of the John the Baptist ministry, which have prepared the way for the manifestation of the fullness of the Christ.

In reading the 15th chapter of John, we can see some key verses that speak to us concerning these true “shoots” that come from the “branch or sprout” of God. Remember, these true shoots declare for us concerning the offspring of like kind, the branch of the Father. The vine, the branch, the sprout, speaks of the Messiah, which has purposed to bring forth a harvest of like-kind fruit. This is fruit of the same spirit and same nature as the first-born son. With each shoot or son purged (cleansed). The purpose of this purging is that each shoot might bring forth more fruit, for each son finds they are unable to bear any spiritual fruit of themselves. The prerequisite to bearing fruit is that we must abide in Him. We can have no life of our own. This is a hard saying unless we see the true results of bringing forth more fruit. In the bringing forth of more fruit, the Father is glorified. The Fathers glory is then ministered as His Kingdom is manifested through the chosen people who love Him above all else. In verse 16, we rest in the truth that ensures us of bearing fruit that reveals the Father that brings forth His manifested glory. “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained [placed] you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name [nature], He may give it you”. Thus, these chosen of the Father have a specific purpose, to rest in the Father Himself. This purpose He set in motion to come forth in His chosen time and season. For this cause He declares in verse 27, “And ye also shall bear witness [testify, or are testifying], because ye have been [ye are] with me [in association and companionship with Christ] from the beginning [of the Lord’s ministry]”. Could it not be, that another people have also been chosen before hand, by God, sent out from the Father in due season, to also fulfill a chosen purpose. This purpose is to establish for God a kingdom wherein all things be restored back unto the Father.

Again, God would have us to know, that the Christ is coming again, in His saints, His separated ones. John shares with us in 1 John 4:17, “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness [confidence] in the Day of Judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world”. In considering God’s chosen ones, let us consider some word meanings in the above scripture. The phrase “made perfect” is the Greek word “TELEIOO” which has the meaning of “to make a full end, consummate”. When speaking of love made perfect, it speaks of God with us in a fullness of expression through that people who receive Him. It speaks of a God who has invested Himself in a chosen people who shall become even as He is in the world. How do you see God in this world? Is He an invisible God, not seen by man’s natural eye? Does not the scripture declare through John a truth? 1 John 3:2 that, “Beloved, now are we the sons [TEKNON meaning that which is born, a child by natural descent] of God, and it doth not yet appear [to bring to light, make manifest] what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear [to bring to light, make manifest] we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as [even as] He is”. Let us take special note of the word “see” in the above scripture. From the Greek word “OPSOMAT”, a word meaning “that which has regard to the object presented to the eye, and to the subject which perceives, it at the same time. It denotes, not so much the act of seeing, but the state and condition of the one to whose eye the object is presented unto, hence, to truly comprehend”.

Thus, if God remains an invisible God to us, we likewise shall see Him remain invisible in and through us. However, to see and comprehend Him as He is, we shall find ourselves becoming the visible expression of the God we behold. No longer to remain invisible, but a God that can be looked upon, through the anointed ones, the in-Christed ones, those who truly behold Him as He is. 1 Cor. 15:51-52 states how we shall fulfill verse 49 of 1 Cor. 15. “And as we have borne the image [likeness] of the earthy, we shall also bear the image [likeness] of the heavenly”. Behold I shew you a mystery [secret]; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed”. This phrase, “in a moment” is from the Greek words “EN ATOMOS” which has the meaning of “in atoms”. The word “atoms” is speaking to us of parts of our body and is not speaking to us of a moment of time. God is here declaring that there is to be a time when a change shall take place in our bodies. This, a people are to know the reality of a body change, as the atoms are changed from that which is earthly and corruptible, to that which is heavenly in its nature, one that is incorruptible. A last trump shall sound, one that is even now on the verge of beginning to sound. Then a change takes place as we put on our spiritualized bodies, to dwell in and minister the kingdom of God on the earth. This is that for which all creation awaits. The redemption of the body which ushers in the manifestation of the sons of God as declared in Rom. 8:19, “For the earnest expectation [anxious looking with outstretched head] of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God”.

Thus, we see the fulfillment of the Old Testament type, the Feast of Tabernacles. This feast is a time when a people are in-dwelt with the fullness of God and His love instead of having only a measure, only a part. Lev. 26:11-12 states, “And I will set my tabernacle (habitation) among you: and my soul shall not abhor you. And I will walk [as in Eden] among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people”. What a promise, what a covenant. Remember, that which God promises He will fulfill in full measure. 2 Cor. 6:16 continues to speak, “And what agreement hath the Temple of God [the Holy place and the Holy of Holies] with idols?  For ye are the Temple of the living god; as God hath said, I will dwell in them and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My People”.

Therefore, according to that which God has said, that which He has purposed and began in the beginning (read Gen. 1:26-28), He shall fulfill in a full measure. Not one word from God is unfulfilled until the fullness of God’s purpose for creation is complete. “And I hear a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell [tabernacle] with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful”. (Rev. 21:3-5).
