“You’re Destiny – God’s Will and Purpose”
Introduction
It has been declared by the Word of God that He is and has a will and purpose for all creation. It has been stated that all things came out of God and unto God all things shall return. If it is a fact that these things are true, how do they apply to the individual as well as to all mankind? To you, the individual, just what is God’s will and purpose? Does this will and purpose relate to a destiny set beforehand? If so, how can a person go about finding his or her destiny? In seeking a knowing concerning one’s destiny as it relates to God’s will and purpose, some questions must be considered. Is our destiny predetermined? Does God have a plan for us? Does He work a work in and around us to bring about the fulfillment of that plan? For the Christian of today, living in what has been classified as the “end-times”; these questions may be in the forefront of their minds.
Could it be that these questions arise in many because certain areas of time determine the dealings and movings of God in the earth among His creation? Could it not be true that God’s will and purpose determines the callings that God releases to His creation in accomplishing that which He has preordained would come to pass in any given age? If the ages of time taken out from eternity are coming to a final climax, then reason tells us that man’s destination is likewise reaching that same climax. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God. To those being invited according to a purpose; because those whom he foreknew, he also predetermined to be copies of the likeness of his Son, for him to be a firstborn among many brethren. And those whom he predetermined, he also invited; and whom he invited, those he also justified; and whom he justified, those he also glorified.” (Rom. 8:28-30 Interlinear).
Lest we continue to forget or overlook God’s plan from the beginning, Genesis remains steadfast in God’s declared purpose. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after or likeness: and let them have dominion over…. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it …” (Gen. 1:27-28).
Thus, God’s stated plan and purpose. One that is eternal in its declaration and duration. A plan and that has never changed His purpose. From Genesis chapter one through to the end of the Revelation, nothing has failed. From the fall of man to his restoration nothing will fall short. All things are being fulfilled to come into its full purpose even as God has stated beforehand. God’s desire is for a people, chosen of God, to find their place in Him. To fulfill God’s call in their being birthed into this world and being re-born to fulfill His will and purpose in this world and the one that is to come.
