The Father has always intended for a son to be taught spiritually and not in the way man is traditionally accustomed to learning and acquiring knowledge. For us to mature as sons in the Lord, it is necessary that a spiritual son is willing to engage with the Father spirit to spirit. We have to be reborn of the spirit and also posture our heart to be able to receive spiritual instruction from the Father. This is not how we normally engage in spiritual things with our spiritual life, particularly in modern Chrisitianity. We tend to concentrate on gifts, unique visitations, special events, profound emotional moments, or drastic interventions into our lives by God, which often time prevents us from developing a matured perspective of how to engage with the Father on a spirit to spirit level. It is important that all sons of God understand that intellectualism has no place in the Kingdom of God. God is not interested in a relationship with us on human intellectual terms. We must have a relationship with him in the spirit. Immanuel Sun expounds on the extreme importance of our learning to engage with the Father on a spirit to spirit level as he continues the topic series on The Family Culture of God.
