David in Exile – Saul’s First Campaign

As a spiritual context, we discussed a bit of the ministry of the word of God as the mission of discipleship passed onto the Church by our Lord Jesus Christ. From this perspective, the prophetic essence of David’s life becomes more distinct from other Biblical figures – he was a type of what means to be oen that is appointed as the “first-born” and one that is “taught by God”.

In this light, we continued on with our discussion of David’s life in exile, esp. concerning “the integrity of his heart” when facing Saul, his arch-enemy and his Lord or master.
