Competence Through the Power of the Spirit
It is important that we understand as believers that not everyone who confesses the name of Jesus will automatically become an appointed priest of God. A certain holiness is required. Modern Christianity so often completely bypasses the process of appointment ordained by God to become one who serves Him in this capacity. When one is called to minister on behalf of the Lord, he or she must be endowed with the grace of the Holy Spirit to do so. There is a process of qualification by the Holy Spirit to which one must submit in order to receive God’s grace to operate in this capacity. This is an appointment that man cannot arrange for himself or others. There is a process of transformation that any legitimate minister of the Lord must go through to be born again into the mind of Christ. To occupy this position in name of the Lord in any other way is not allowed. Immanuel Sun expounds on this topic in today’s meeting.
